iTow is a dispatch platform for commercial towing and roadside assistance, operated by iTow LLC. It is used by tow providers and their drivers, by fleet and insurance customers requesting service, and by the dispatchers who coordinate between them. This policy describes what the iTow mobile app and web application collect, why, and who it is shared with.
It applies to the iTow iOS and Android apps and to the iTow web application. Using them means accepting this policy.

We do not collect advertising identifiers, browsing or search history, contacts, health data, or financial account details. The usage information above is recorded by iTow itself; the app contains no third-party analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDK. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell personal information.
When a driver accepts a job, the app reports the truck's position so that the dispatcher — and the customer whose vehicle is disabled — can see it approaching and get a live arrival time. Alongside the position we record speed and heading, which are used to estimate arrival.
This continues while the app is in the background because the driver is operating a vehicle: the phone is mounted running turn-by-turn navigation, or its screen is off, for the whole journey. Collecting only in the foreground would stop the trail the moment the driver started driving.

Customers requesting service may also share their location once, to place the breakdown on the map. That is a single position at the time of the request, not continuous tracking.
Job information is shared with the parties to that job — the customer who requested it, the tow provider assigned, that provider's driver, and the dispatcher. That is the purpose of the platform.
Beyond that, we use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, and may not use it for their own purposes:
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim — including providing records relating to a tow or an accident to an insurer or to law enforcement.
Job, claim and photographic records are kept for as long as the claim they belong to may be contested, and thereafter as our own records require. Account details are kept while the account is open. Location points collected during a job are kept as part of that job's record, because arrival times and route taken are frequently disputed after the fact.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on managed infrastructure with access limited to those who need it. Files are served through expiring signed links rather than public addresses. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Residents of California, Texas and other states with comparable laws have these rights by statute; we extend them to everyone. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
Some information cannot be deleted on request where we are required to retain it — for example, records belonging to an open or contested claim. If that applies we will tell you which records and why.

iTow accounts are created by the company you drive or dispatch for, so there is no delete button in the app. To have your iTow account and data deleted:
What is deleted: your account and sign-in details, name, phone number, profile photo, driver's licence photos and details, device identifiers and notification tokens, and app usage information.
What may be kept: records that belong to a tow, roadside job or insurance claim — including photographs, video, voice statements, messages and location points recorded during that job — for as long as the claim may be contested, as described under How long we keep it. If records are kept, we will tell you which ones and why.
iTow is a commercial tool for towing operators, fleets and insurers. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date above and, where the change affects how we use data you have already given us, tell account holders directly.
